Licence

In Croatia, for some business of landscape architecture licence is necessary.

To become a certified landscape architect, one needs to become a member of the Croatian Chamber of Architects. Membership in the Chamber and the right to use the professional title is acquired by enlisting in the directory, in accordance with the conditions prescribed by law, the special law regulating the operations and activities of the Physical Planning and Construction and the Statute of the Croatian Chamber of Architects (Law on Works and Activities of Physical Planning and Construction (NN 78/15), the Law on the Chamber of architects and chambers of engineers in construction and Physical Planning (NN 78/15).


Landscape architects can enlist directories:
: Directory of licensed architects (licensed landscape architect)
: Directory of licensed construction manager of architectural profession (licensed construction manager of landscape profession)
: Directory of licensed construction works manager of the architectural profession (licensed construction works manager of landscape profession)
By signing and stamping members of the Chamber confirm the truthfulness and accuracy of documents made in accordance with the laws governing physical planning and construction, this Statute and other general acts of the Chamber, and take responsibility for the contents of these documents.


The tasks of the profession
Licenced landscape architect (Statute of CCA, Article 50)
(1) Licenced landscape architect in performing their professional tasks and activities of landscape design and / or expert supervision of construction and construction activities shall be authorized to carry out:
: Landscape design: development of landscape designs for buildings and projects of landscape architecture,
: Landscape design as a responsible person (the designer)
: Expert supervision of construction in the capacity of the responsible person (supervising engineer)
: Design supervision


(2) The tasks of the landscape profession in the performance of landscape design and landscape design jobs as the responsible person (the designer) are:
: Making all kinds of landscape design for landscape structures inside and outside built-up areas
: Making all kinds of projects of landscape architecture for the regulation of landscape structures inside and outside built-up areas,
: Making statements of estimated construction costs for projects of landscape design and landscape architecture,
: Design of the condition of the existing structures of landscape architecture,
: Determination of the basic requirements for the construction of landscape architecture structures and the development of evidence on meeting the basic requirements for the structure: accessibility during use; sustainable use of natural resources,
: Development of parts of the project for the removal of the landscape architecture structures.


(3) The tasks of the landscape profession in conducting expert supervision of construction are:
: Expert supervision of construction of the works referred to in paragraph 2 of this Article which landscape profession is authorized to design


(4) The tasks of the landscape profession in the performance of design supervision of construction are:
: Implementation of the design supervision of works on the structures referred to in paragraph 2 of this Article which landscape profession is authorized to design.


(5) In addition to the technical tasks referred to in paragraphs 2, 3 and 4 of this Article, licensed landscape architect may perform other professional activities within the knowledge acquired through education and work and other activities on the basis of special laws and other regulations, such as preparation of studies, analyses, studies, designs and alternatives, etc.


(6) Licenced landscape architect may perform professional tasks of design, supervision and design supervision of construction set forth in paragraphs 2, 3 and 4 of this Article and other professional activities within the knowledge acquired through education and work referred to in paragraph 5 in their own office, joint office and/or legal person registered for performing these activities, in accordance with the tasks and activities of physical planning and construction and special laws and other regulations.


(7) In exception, licenced landscape architect may perform services of design supervision named in paragraph 4 and other professional activities within the knowledge acquired through education and work named in paragraph 5, by the contract on business and technical cooperation, based on the work, copyright, etc.


Licenced construction manager of landscape profession (Statute of CCA, Article 52)


Tasks of landscape profession in performing construction management are:
: Managing construction of landscape architecture and construction of landscape structures inside and outside built-up areas referred to in Article 50, paragraph 2, which landscape profession is authorized to design.


Licenced construction works manager of landscape profession (CCA Statute, Article 54)


Tasks of landscape profession in the performance of management works are:
: Conduct works on landscape design inside and outside built-up areas referred to in Article 50, paragraph 2, which landscape profession is authorized to design.
