Accommodation
We worked with different travel agencies to organise comfortable and appropriate options. At the moment St. Petersburg “Favorit” DMC is helping us with an accommodation arrangement and Russian visa support.

Note: Transportation for conference participants to the conference venue will be provided.

Because the end of May and early June is the peak time of the tourist season in St. Petersburg (White Nights) we need to book the accommodation as soon as possible (just book, not pay!) but no later than April 15, 2012. Please visit the conference webpage for further information.

We would really appreciate if you can let us know what kind of accommodation you are interested in and how many people will be accompanying you. We also need to know if you are interested in the pre-conference tour (also for accommodation and visa purposes).

On the website you will find the requested forms.
You can also find your own accommodation. Most hotels will provide you with tourist visa support.

Russian Visa
Please, visit web site for the instruction.
You will find two separate forms for accommodation and visa support which we would like you to fill in as soon as possible and send to tour@favorit.spb.ru with attention to Yulia Lavrova. Please ask in your email for return confirmation that it was received.

After receiving your information for the visa, the Russian organisers (“Favorit”) will send you a Confirmation and a Hotel Voucher (NOT VISA!!!). These papers will contain information about your stay – dates, city, hotel, and also all the required information about the Tourist Firm “Favorit” which has an agreement with St. Petersburg Forest Technical Academy. So, you can get those papers very quickly.
Once you have received the papers (Confirmation and a Hotel Voucher) you can apply to your nearest Russian Consulate and they will grant a Russian tourist visa for you for the whole period of your stay (not only in St. Petersburg but also in any other places you are going to visit in Russia during your stay). The majority of consulates accept copies sent by fax or scanned copies and do not require original papers. You can visit the webpage of the Russian Consulate (nearest to you) and find out their visa requirements. Usually tourist visa applications are processed quite quickly.

The price for the visa support is 5 Euro. Payment must be made in cash at the conference location. We would really appreciate if you can send us your forms as soon as possible.

Swedish Visa
Remember that for some passport holders it will be necessary to have a Swedish visa as well. Please contact us for further information.
